As we move deeper into the fall season, I’ve been reflecting on the state of leadership in our communities—especially among our youth. In a world dominated by 30-second clips and poll-driven politics, we’re seeing a troubling trend: a lack of strong, principled leadership. Our young people are growing up in an environment where true role models are increasingly hard to find.

At NorthStar Perspectives, we believe leadership is not about popularity—it’s about purpose. It’s about standing firm in your values, guiding others with integrity, and being the example even when it’s difficult. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to help grow and develop the next generation of leaders.

🔹 Recent Highlights

• 🎤 Interfaith Symposium Speaker: I was honoured to represent Judaism at the 3rd Annual Interfaith Symposium in Innisfil, hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at. I spoke on the power of compassion across faiths and the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam—repairing the world.
• 🧒 Mentoring Future Leaders: Through my work with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, I’ve been preparing a leadership lesson for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers, focusing on integrity, accountability, and servant leadership.
• 🕊️ Veterans’ Reflections: As Remembrance Day approaches, I’ve shared stories of my wife’s grandfather, a Jewish WWII veteran who witnessed the liberation of Bergen-Belsen. His legacy reminds us of the cost of freedom and the importance of moral courage.

🔹 Leadership in Crisis

Our youth are watching. They’re connected, curious, and capable—but they need guidance. They need mentors who will walk beside them, not just talk at them. They need leaders who don’t bend to polls, but stand tall in their convictions.
